As you step onto this verdant paradise, you’ll be greeted by lush landscapes, azure waters, traditional cottages, and winding cobbled streets that fill your heart with joy.

Poros serves as both the capital and main port of the island, situated amphitheatrically across from the Peloponnese coast. The neoclassical architecture of its charming houses is sure to captivate any visitor.

Exploring Poros reveals a wealth of fascinating attractions. The Historical Clock, perched on the highest hill, was erected in 1927 and stands as the town’s crowning jewel. Within the town center, the Archaeological Museum showcases artifacts dating from the Mycenaean to Roman eras, along with the Town Library.

To the northwest of Poros town lies the Gymnasium, the first residence of Othonas. On the island’s north side, in Palatia, the ruins of the Dorian temple of Poseidon are found. Nearby, you’ll discover the preserved relics of the Russian Naval Station, a designated historical monument.

Immerse yourself in nature by strolling through the enchanting Kalaureia forest, breathing in the crisp, refreshing air.

Make time to visit the Monastery of Zoodohos Pigi, perched on a lush slope with breathtaking sea views. At its entrance, a therapeutic spring is renowned, and inside the church, you’ll find a 16th-century Italian-style temple and a portable icon of the Virgin Mary, created by Italian painter Sekoli. Another must-see is the Cathedral of Saint Georgios, adorned with exquisite murals.

Despite its compact size, Poros boasts a plethora of beautiful beaches, each more picturesque than the last, offering a perfect blend of sea and pine. Mikro Neorio, Megalo Neorio, Askeli, Monastery, Small Port of Love, Vagionia – each promises moments of relaxation and entertainment. Many of these beaches are equipped with taverns, restaurants, hotels, bars, and water sports facilities.
