The Greek School of Plato is a 501(c) (3) organization that provides students from Pre-K to 9th grade an opportunity to explore the richness of the Greek language, history, and culture with second, third, and continuing generations of Greek Americans.

We currently have a position available for a Pre-K Education Consultant in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Pre-K Education Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in early childhood education and a passion for helping children reach their fullest potential. The Pre-K Education Consultant will be responsible for providing educational consulting services to pre-K teachers and parents, designing and delivering professional development workshops, and providing guidance on best practices in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and consultation on curriculum design, instruction, assessment, and program management for pre-kindergarten-age children.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to school districts related to ECE topics
  • Develop training materials on ECE topics for school districts
  • Create or update existing curriculum materials related to the development of ECE programs
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators to develop appropriate lesson plans that meet educational standards.
  • Review existing ECE programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding the development of ECE programs
  • Maintain current knowledge of best practices in ECE
  • Develop strategies for effective communication with stakeholders
  • Participate in professional development activities related to early childhood education
  • Monitor program outcomes and report on progress toward meeting goals
  • Monitor the progress of program implementation and provide feedback to educators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Must have valid New York State certification/license for preschool education
  • Minimum of two years of experience
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)
